Transcreation

Transcreation is the art of combining translation with creativity with the goal of conveying the message from one culture to another, maintaining the original effect and intent of the source text, or copy, as we call it.

It is widely used for marketing and advertising campaigns, though, given the increasing demand for lyric translation, it is a must also in music translation.

Transcreation entails a high cultural awareness of both countries involved in the process, something that comes natural to me as I have lived, worked and studied in three different countries (Italy, England and Spain) as well as having a deep passion for travel (over 30 countries visited).
